I graduated from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2016 with a MSc in Physiotherapy while also playing on the University Men's basketball team in Scotland. From Toronto, Ontario, I finished did my BA in Kinesiology from York University in 2014. I have a passion for helping people and aiming to get them back to their best physically and mentally. I believe in a holistic approach to health and rehabilitation through the means of exercise, education and manual therapy. I've expanded my knowledge by taking extra courses in acupuncture, spinal manipulation, blood flow restriction training and concussion management. In my free time, I love to be around the game of basketball. I currently coach with my free time, play in men's leagues, and I love to work with athletes. I also enjoy hiking, soccer, volleyball and travelling.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

Patients should choose me because for me patient-centered care comes first. The patient always comes first in my mind, and my goal is to fix the root cause of the pain or issues that someone may have. My treatment is revolved around not only getting the patient pain free, but to also get the patient back to activities that they haven't been able to do, whether you're an athlete that wants to get back to training or sport, a parent that wants to play with their child or someone that just wants to be able to get back to work. I like to create a bond with a patient where we can work together to get the patient feeling their best physically and mentally. I specialize in ACL rehab and prehab, as I have a clinical interest in ACL rehabilitation.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

The top 3 treatments I specialize in are exercise prescription, education and a wide variety of different manual therapy/acupuncture techniques.

What are you proud of in your practice?

I'm proud of the fact that I never rush when I'm with a patient. I feel every single patient deserves a certain level of time dedicated to them and every treatment program is catered to each individual based on their needs.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

My favourite cases I enjoy are ACL tears, especially ACL reconstruction rehab. Having gone through ACL reconstruction myself and getting myself better then I was before is what inspired me to get into physiotherapy, and eventually specialize in ACL rehabilitation. I finds that the ACL rehab is more then just following a protocol, it requires paying attention to detail for each patient, and really involving getting over the mental hurdles just as much as the physical hurdles.Returning to sport/activity should also be strictly tested to make sure patients get back safely when ready. I also like to give patients reassurance that they can return from their ACL rehab better then before, and to get rid of the stigma regarding return from an ACL injury as less then optimal.
