His thirst for knowledge in the field of physiotherapy continued after graduated and led to his participation and successful completion of numerous post graduate courses. He has taken courses in manual therapy, medical acupuncture through McMaster University, soft tissue release, neuro-proprioceptive taping and concussion management among others. He loves to stay on top of the advances in his field and is committed to offering the highest quality of care to his patients. Wesley started his physiotherapy career in Ottawa where he gained experience treating a variety of musculoskeletal issues in all parts of the body. He was lucky to have the opportunity to successfully treat and manage complex injuries of the low back, neck and thoracic spine. He was also fortunate to develop relationships with many of Ottawa’s hand surgeons and provide quality care to patients with complex hand injuries. Wesley has treated individuals of all levels of athletic abilities and he brings a high level of knowledge and professionalism together with compassion, honesty and empathy to his patient care. Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

A number of my clients have told me that one of my strongest traits is that I am intelligent, yet relatable. I have an ability to connect with my clients on a personal level, to foster a therapeutic relationship whereby clients feel they are able to honestly express their concerns, their discontent, their frustration, and their satisfaction without feeling judged. They have often told me that I am able to communicate technical concepts to them in an understandable way, and am highly adaptive to their preferences. Furthermore, I am able to consistently deliver excellent, evidence-informed services that achieve the highest level of client satisfaction. If you are looking for a Physiotherapist with a good track record for success, and is professional yet relatable, consider booking an appointment with me! My chief aim is to create a one of a kind Physiotherapy experience that you cannot receive with anyone else.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

-Manual Therapy -Concussion Management -Medical Acupuncture

What are you proud of in your practice?

I am proud that I am able to work alongside people in all stages of life, in all types of occupations, of all types of ages, to help them return to things that bring them joy in life. Nothing is more satisfying for me than seeing the joy in my clients’ faces when they leave my clinic feeling relief from their pain and then being able to return to their usual lifestyle.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I enjoy treating complex injuries of the neck, back, shoulder, elbow, knee, ankle, wrist, and hand, and concussions/post-concussion syndromes. I view Physiotherapy as an art-form, and rehabilitating complex conditions requires a thorough understanding of the human body and how it works. Like an artist, I perceive myself as a restorer who utilizes evidence-based practices to help a client regain their functional mobility so that they can participate in the things they love to do. By speaking with the client and understanding what their goals are, I am able to see the big picture, and then work with my client to sort out the minor details so that they are able to achieve their big picture goals. Treating the above aforementioned complex cases requires a practitioner who is able to see the big picture and then determine the necessary steps (minor details) to achieve those goals. When the client’s major goals are achieved, they are filled with joy, and their joy becomes my fulfillment and joy.
