During my University studies in psychology I became interested in the mind-body connection and in particular how physical, mental and emotional stressors affect our body and health. After completing my degree I enrolled in the Massage Therapy program and have been a Registered Massage Therapist since 1999. Committed to life long learning, I have taken numerous post graduate courses further enhancing my strong clinical skills. I am trained in a wide variety of techniques and modalities including swedish, pregnancy massage, sports massage, myofascial release, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, scar tissue massage, joint mobilizations, hot stone therapy, therapeutic ultrasound, ifc/tens, reiki level 1, kinesiology and remedial exercise. Whether you are seeking treatment for a specific injury or condition, or seeking the physiological benefits of a stress reduction massage, my extensive experience enables me to tailor each treatment to suit your individual needs.
Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?
My experience working with a diverse population of patients is extensive and patients can feel assured that I bring that experience and knowledge to every session.
What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?
I have treated a wide variety of conditions, and can confidently apply that experience to all treatments. Rather then focusing on a particular specialty, It is most important to identify what the patients goals are from Massage Therapy and to utilize the numerous skills I have fostered and developed over the years to help facilitate the patient towards those goals.
What are you proud of in your practice?
My utmost priority is my patients well being and I often collaborate with other health care providers to provide the most effective care to the patient.
Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?
Massage Therapy is my passion and I enjoy treating all cases. Each patient is unique and I truly enjoy providing care to each and every one of them.
